What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the application of individualized behavior programs that help children to acquire and improve functional independent skills and increase good behavior, while aiming to decrease and eliminate bad behavior. The program also targets to develop self-help skills, social skills and fundamental play skills. ABA uses evidenced based practices that can help to decrease maladaptive behaviors such as aggression, self-stimulatory behaviors, and self-injurious behaviors (SIBs).

ABA is beneficial to many children diagnosed with Autism and ADHD

ABA in action

There are a lot of perceptions about what “ABA” is and many prearranged plans that state that they provide a family with an ABA program. It is critical to remember that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to Applied Behavior Analysis. Every program will be individualized to your child’s special needs. Our therapists provide data-driven assessments, procedures, and treatments that have been demonstrated by evidence-based research and accepted as best practice in the behavioral services industry. We provide evaluations, formulate a plan of care and give specific recommendations for socially significant lasting behavior change.
